What do you think about teenagers that get pregnant as such a young age. 12/13-18/29 years old? Are u a victim?
I personally think that they are careless and they are part of the people who make America worse day by day.
I feel that when a girl between those ages gets preggy, she cannot take care of the kid because she also wants to enjoy her teen years and besides she is still a kid. So the kid ends up selling drugs or hanging out with the wrong group which is bad.

I know that i would not feel sorry for any teenager with a kid except she got raped.
Neither will i give up my seat for a pregnant teen on the bus bcos i knew (at 13) not 2 b careless and she was careless.
I am 17 and i just hate seeing teens that have so much great potential and opportunity getting tied down by a kid and then they move on 2 have more and more that they cannot take care of..

Am i wrong to think this way?
Tell me what u think?

i think its stupid

It is a real shame when at such a young age they have babies, there is so much in life to see and do first, obviously certain circumstances are different but it isn’t nice to see.

And this week a 9 year old chinese girl gave birth by caesarean ?(spelling) according to press reports.

12-19 too young, but in the twenties especially 29 isn’t too young

I completely agree

I find it sick people having sex underage. I lost my virginity at 16 and i’m glad i waited until the age of consent. i especially hate it because they rely on state handouts and tbh, their parents do most of the caring

Having a child at any age is a huge responsibility, especially a financial one. It’d probably be smarter to only have a child when one is ready for it. I can’t say though that I am against anyone having a child at any particular age as long as they can take care of the child and themselves.

Biologically, having a child at a younger age is genetically beneficial as the DNA in the female gametes is less degraded than at an older age (after 35 yrs of age). However, for younger females, the size of the child may be an issue for the width of the hips.
GamesMasta | Feb 06, 2010

I think it’s all about your opinion. If you get pregnant as a minor, I believe that you took that risk by not using contreception. I’m 15, almost 16. Currently, there is a girl my age that is pregnant. She is pretty close to her due date, and she is trying to get help from other guys (including my boyfriend) because her boyfriend/baby’s father left… again. So, my boyfriend feels like he has to help because it’s a baby and the baby can’t take care of himself. I told him that if he supports someone elses family.. that I’m leaving. So, he has decided not to take care of her child. But anyway my point was, if you get pregnant you need to be responsible for your situation. Not try to mooch off of other people. You made the choice to not use contreception so you can deal with the consequences, or whatever you wanna call it. I’m not against teen pregnancy’s but, I also do not like them. I hope not to be offending anyone out there. This is just an opinion post and everyone has their right to their own opinion.

my cousin had her baby at 14 years old she got a job was saving money was still going to school and was making cake, (didn’t last long her dad stole all her money for drugs) but her having a kid made her want more from life.

i had a baby 2 months ago i just 20 myself and i got a high paying job and is still in school to be a nurse. It just depends on the drive of the individual rather than the age.

i also had a friend who at 16 had a little boy then another at 20 she still lives at home with her mom, no job and isn’t trying to get one. it depends on the person.

can you solve this riddle………………….funny?
alocus was a roman slave.one day he f**ked the princess.the angry king put him on a room and told him that he is going to do a favor for him.alocus can decide how he will die.the king told him that the room has 4 doors.the one through which they entered is of no use.its gonna close as soon as the king exits.the other 3 doors are doors of death.three ways of death are waiting for him.door no 1
leads to a corridor where 2 blind axemen are there.who will cut the throat of anybody who walks through the corridor by analyzing the sound.door no 2 leads to a room of fire and person will be eventually burned to death.door no 3 leads to a room where a hungry lion is kept which is not given anything to eat for an year.but princess knowing this before kept some thing for alocus.they were cotton sole shoes that wont produce sound, fireproof jacket,a can of water,a sword, a rope, a sack full of KFC fried chicken, a bottle of cyanide, a pen and an ink pot.what door will alocus choose and which all things he will take from the princess’s gifts?.i need the explanation also.
also pls say whether my english is good or not.iam currently studying english and wanna know my progress.

Easy. Door 3. The lion hasn’t eaten for a year so it will have starved to death.

| Jan 16, 2010

The answer is he used the shoes that don’t make sound, and wait for the lions in the third door to go to sleep and walk through.
narutoshippuden1995 | Jan 16, 2010

I think he will take the rope. he will tie up the king and take the king slothes and put it on himself. then he will thow the naked king into the room with the lion. then he goes back the way he came through the door looking like the king and the door will close. since he will be the king every one will listen to him and he will tell them them its okay for him to marry his ‘daughter’. The princess will have no choice but to marry him and they will lived hapilly ever after and the king F***ked her whenever he wanted
Hammer Mind | Jan 16, 2010

ummm…
if he goes thro door one, he will need the shoes and a sword so he can sneak up on the two men.
if he goes thro door two, hes screwed because a fire proof jacket isnt enough to cover his whole body and 1 bucket of water wont put out a room of fire.
if he goes thro door three, he will need the sword because even if he gives the lion the chicken, it will attack him.
So, Alocus better choose the first or third door, or he could go back thro the door he came in when the king brought him there…he will need the shoes to wear to sneak up on the kings guards, a sword to kill them with, a bucket of chicken to apologize to the king, that probably wont work so he will have to poison the king with cyanide(in a piece of that lovely chicken), then he will need the water to wash the blood of the guards off of his hands, then he will put on the jacket so he will look handsome, a rope to use as a belt to hold the sword so he looks cool, then he will find the princess and live happily ever after. and use the pen and ink pot to write his royal decrees as the new king =)

2) Kill the guards
3) Steal the king’s clothes
4) Throw everything away!
5) BECOME THE KING!

Miracle Maker, The

Miracle Maker, The
Miracle Maker, The (2000)

IMDB rating: 7.20

Plot: This animated feature-length life of Jesus boasts a stellar pedigree. Originally a BBC Wales production, it showcases the voices of some of Britain’s finest actors in any medium: Ralph Fiennes as a brooding and humble Jesus, Miranda Richardson as Mary Magdalene, Richard E. Grant as John the Baptist and David Thewlis as Judas. The lovely, flute-heavy score is by Oscar-winner Anne Dudley (The Full Monty). And clearly a lot of expense has gone into the Claymation-like animation. But while it’s hard to find fault with the rendering of this familiar story—it is respectful and definitely done, you might say, by the Book—it would have been nice if there had been a tad more joy, if it walked a bit lighter in its sandals. As it is, all the characters seem consistently subdued, whether they are expressing angst, rage, terror or bliss—none of which is helped by the figures’ blank-eyed stares (if animators are becoming ever more sophisticated, why can’t they get rid of those creepy blank gazes once and for all?). Still, the weight of having such formidable actors play these familiar roles lends the production a certain credibility, and parents looking for good religious videos that won’t insult their kids’ intelligence will be thrilled.

Women's advice needed- How to get her back?
My wife and I have been separated for a while now and I’m trying to get back with her.
She says that she don’t believe that I’m ever going to change, But I try to very hard and I want to be a good man and partner.

I’m being very supportive and nice and I used to be a trouble maker.

Now she’s telling me that the fact that I’m so pushy (By trying too hard to be good to her) is bad for her health and she needs some time without us contacting each other.

We love and care about each other very much and she refuses to go to counseling with me.

How do I prove to her that I adore her? Should I just sit and wait for a miracle to happen here?
What else can I do to fix this mess that I created?

Thank you
I was selfish, I was rude, I was creating drama out of nothing. I’m very ashamed of it.
I should probably go to counseling by myself and hope that she joins me someday.

The best thing you can do is give her the space that she is asking for, though that is going to be hard. You should be available if needed but not pushy. A card or letter occasionally but no contact because you don’t want to cause her stress. You want to give her the chance to miss you and know that she still wants you.

There is something to say for the old saying of "Absence makes the heart grow fonder"

Kay buddy,
all i can tell you is the worst thing you can do right know is not give her space. cause if she is asking for some time apart, im pretty sure she means it. If she loves you, then you have nothing to worry about. Just dint keep bugging her, your just gonna make it worse.
good luck.
and hey, flowers can always help.
Caleyy | Aug 09, 2009

well your wife still must be very hurt for whatever has been done to her. Just sit down write her a letter and tell her how you feel and that you understand about her being gun-shy about getting back together. Let her know that she is the woman that you long for and that you will be right here waiting for her admit your mistakes to her. Then leave her be and let things fall in to place!

Good luck hope it works for you!
Sarah | Aug 09, 2009

That wouldn’t hurt for a start. Then tell her that you love her enough to let her go if that’s what she needs to be happy. Her happiness is what means something if you really love her, which is what most people miss when they are trying so hard to get their own desires and needs met. Then do it and move on. If you have a chance, she’ll come around because she respects your decisions and strength. You aren’t likely to get anywhere talking to her, she’s probably tired of hearing you.
However, if it’s separation that she chooses, make sure that’s what she has completely. You aren’t responsible for her, helping her out, fixing her car, etc. You are too busy trying to rebuild your life, making a new social life, etc.
bonnieboobabe | Aug 09, 2009

My first reaction was…. she’s currently seeing someone or found someone she might be interested in…and is wanting you to back off so she can see how she feels about everything.

Apparently, I’m the only one that thinks this, but just the way she wants you to back off, but isn’t ready to finalize everything one way or the other.

Let her know via email or something you want to change and be better and want her back, but you will let her be, as she asked. Tell her you are seeking counseling and maybe she would consider going with you once or twice. Also, tell her, you do need to know if you should be getting on with life and if you guys need to file divorce/separation papers or what have you….basically, you can’t and shouldn’t, be expected to wait forever…no matter what happened.

Oh, and, then …. do those things…find a counselor, and let her be. Give her a few weeks, then start moving on.

Don't simply take a posture, be honest: Isn't the whole idea of Black History Month ridiculous?
Trust me when I say I am a HUGE history buff and am completely in favor of strong and inclusive history programs in the schools. History is history is history. Some acts of some African-Americans are indeed worthy of being taught as legitimate history. Therein lies my complaint.

When a large portion of American schoolchildren have no idea who was President during World War II or what the Intolerable Acts were, is it really a good idea to spend valuable instructional time teaching about secondary or even tertiary people and events? I’m not talking about Martin Luther King, Jr., George Washington Carver, the Tuskegee Airmen, etc…as these are notable people who made legitimate historical contributions regardless of their race. Unfortunately, after the first week and a half or so, the kids are taught about the guy who invented the stop light and similar historical trivia of questionable merit.

In short, my question is this: shouldn’t we aspire to do a better job of teaching plain ol’ history, regardless of the pigmentation of the person being studied?
dstr: As a matter of fact, I would be an excellent choice to do just that. Whether or not you like it, certain historical personages and ebents are simply more important than are others.
EDIT: To those of you proposing a White History Month, I find that concept every bit as ridiculous as Black History Month. As I wrote earlier: history is history. It doesn’t matter what color a particular historical figure might have been, He or she either merits study, or he does not.
robin: The sculpture is based on the famous photo of Marines hoisting the flag on Mt. Suribachi. Whether or not it is PC or to your liking, none of the Marines atop Suribachi that day were African-Americans. That is simply a historical fact. Further, do you seriously contend that Iwo Jima was fought primarily by African Americans? All I can say to that is wow.

Lastly, a point of semantics: There were NO US soldiers on Iwo. There were 110,000 Marines.
jared: Please note, I’m not the one who wants to segregate history based on race. Who is the racist here again?
david: I already distanced myself from that line of thought. Please read what I wrote. Further, most programming centers on white people because most Americans are white. Call me crazy, but I wouldn’t expect the majority of programs on Nigerian TV to be about Hungarians, either. It’s funny how that works.

You mean is it racist to set aside a month just for a certain race? Yes, it is. Yes, we should just teach plain old history.
Brutus | Feb 01, 2010

I dont have a problem with Black history month as much as I have a problem with blacks who refuse to support White History month….<heavy sarcasm>

In all honesty, its just an extention of entitlement logic – Blacks were abused therefore they deserve continued special treatment, political correctness and sympathy.

Hey… I think it’s fine to set aside a day or a month – I really don’t care that much.

I think it’s ironic that the same people who are ON-BOARD with these kinds of things, think that celebrating a religion with an ICON is wrong.

I also think that if we had the:
- White Entertainment Channel
- the United Caucasian College fund
- White History Month

That somehow would be WRONG. But heck… some people want to let GIRLS into the BOY SCOUTS!
stanleys_2001 | Feb 01, 2010

We are all humans and a history month should not be centred on one type of person. This breeds resentment of others because everyone will feel entitled to a history month too. No culture is more important than another. It divides society, especially when another type of person is painted badly during the history month. It’s a nice gesture but very politically loaded.
Poseidon | Feb 01, 2010

still today your history books tell lies about the involvement of African Americans in American history. The famous statue in D.C. of the soldiers holding up the flag at Iwo Jimma for example depicts all whit soldiers, when infact, Iwo Jimma was rescued by mostly African American soldiers.

They will not approve any books that teach the true history of America whether it’s Black, Asian, Native, Hispanic or otherwise. It will always put a positive spin on things. Nikki | Feb 01, 2010

I agree with you, this month shouldn’t be set aside for a particular race it only makes us a more collective society. The history belongs to Americans as a whole, it marks a time that we looked passed a persons skin color, and saw that they have rights as individuals. Placing people into groups because of the color of their skin is preposterous with that ideal only brings hatred. It is in vain that we do the same with our history. I agree with celebrating the day of Martin Luther King for he was a lead advocate of the civil rights movement and the day is celebrated not because of his skin color but by the accomplishment and context of the man. He knew his life was at risk and yet still spoke for liberty and lost his life in the process. I still hope his dream does come true.
No religion in this pub | Feb 01, 2010

Well for one, since history classes usually focused on historical contributions of whites, I say why not. Seriously, especially when some of your posters have stated the same flawed answers as "why not a White Entertainment Network". Do they or you realize that the majority of programming on all the major networks still focus around whites? And if you are going to complain about this month, then why not about the other months around the year set up for Native Americans, Women, Hispanics, etc.

I know there are historical people that need to be celebrated but why not have a month you could celebrate these people no matter if they are black, Asian, gay or what ever. if these people truly did great things for the better of the people then they deserve to be celebrated. race is the minor issue, history is the bigger issue

One True Thing

One True Thing
One True Thing (1998)

IMDB rating: 6.90

Plot: One True Thing is a family drama revolving around a dying mother’s final months in the care of her daughter. Ellen Gulden’s father rebukes her for not caring enough about her mother to quit her job, move back home to Upstate New York, and leave her soulmate behind to fend for himself in their tidy New York apartment. But, when she succumbs under the strain of guilt and does as he asks, it appears that he is too busy to carry his part of the load. In fact, it begins to look like Ellen’s father is more concerned with who is going to keep his life running smoothly than who will tend to his poor wife as she struggles with cancer. George Gulden is a gifted professor and English department head, but he is an unrealized novelist. His novel, “Come Back Inn,” is still unfinished after many years of torturous self-editing and rewrites long after the advance he received from his publisher is spent. Still, he basks in the reflected glow of more famous and successful writers with whom he maintains tenuous ties. This realization humanizes him for Ellen who has always revered her father as something of a literary giant in spite of his occassional daliances with graduate students. Kate Gulden, dying of cancer at only 48, loves life, and loves her children and her husband. When her suffering finally ends from an overdose of morphine, the District Attorney suspects Ellen of having helped her mother to end her life. In the end, though, it seems to be Kate who still nurtures them, somehow even from the grave.

Considering you were under 16 I would have thought they’d be lifted after 15 years, It depends if you went to court etc etc…. Best thing to do is pop down your local cop shop and ask.

They’re all ok….you need more creative names. And a summary
Baby,r u down down down? xD | Jan 11, 2010

these are creative titles and i bet good movies but if "A Journey to Area 51" is going to be an alien movie i would recommend that you change the title to something like "Area 51: Journey to Darkness" or "Area 51: Deep Secrets" or "Deep through Area 51" or just "Area 51" or even "Territory 51" for copyright reasons.

They’d be great but only if I get to be the investigative reporter who dies spectacularly and heroically just before the end of all of them.

7 "The Martial Artist" has possibilities IF it is about a gentle guy who would much rather paint portraits of lotus blossoms than study kickfighting like his father wants. Climactic scene where he kickboxes the villain into submission and then paints a flower on his forehead. Should appeal to the gentler segment of the martial arts crowd. Maybe something for that irritating Smith kid to do after he finishes screwing up the remake of "The Karate Kid." Just a thought.

Common words used as names ?
Ok, I’m trying to figure out some names for my two main characters in my fantasy novel I’m writing. They are a boy and a girl. I’d really like to use some common words used as names for them ( Cloud Strife, Zero, Squall, Sky, Ash) … just a few examples. The boy has a very sad past, is very standoffish and doesn’t like to show emotion. He has large blue eyes and white hair. The main girl has black hair, and has a very fiery personality, but she is fiercely loyal.
-Thanks!

Cloud would fit the male

Ebonia for the girl perhaps

A play on the white/cloud hair and ebony/black hair.
